Laundry Room Overhaul

Usually when I go into a room, I can pretty well get a vision for what I want the space to look like and what decisions would make the room the most practical. In this room, however, I was so frustrated! I have no idea why, but out of all the rooms in our home, this space gave me the most headache. I really wanted to create a beautiful sunroom, full of lush, green plants and lots of natural elements, but since our back door leads into this room, we also needed a designated area for shoes, purses, coats, etc. Then, to throw an ugly wrench in the plans, the washer and dryer had to find a cozy little home in here as well. Laundry Room Makeover

Jeff and Mary, my aunt and uncle, live in an absolutely breathtaking 1860s antebellum home. Every square inch of their property is a regal oasis, situated on over 100 acres of open land. It truly is a getaway that they get to come home to every day. Although the seemingly flawless farm house seems perfect in every way, our latest project was to redesign and reconfigure the one spot in their home that was slightly less than desirable: the added-on laundry room.
